Put this into practice with Resquared
Resquared is the AI sales platform built for selling to local businesses: the most complete local business database, verified contacts, and outreach written and followed up in your name.
- Verified emails and phone numbers, with owner and staff names on premium plans
- Filter by radius, category, business size, hours and recent reviews
- AI writes each email in your name from the business's own details
- Automated follow-ups that stop when someone replies; replies land in your inbox
Every digital footprint of every brick-and-mortar business, resolved into one record and checked source by source.
See how it worksA single listings source will have gaps, duplicates, stale records, and mismatched names or addresses. Stronger local-business data combines public websites, maps, review and social pages, government records, and other sources with different strengths.
Resquared lists 14,786,458 active local businesses in the US and Canada. You can filter by geography, category, business size, hours, and recent reviews, then use business emails and phone numbers for outreach. A general inbox often reaches the decision-maker at an owner-run business.
Start with the market and outcome you want. Describe the ideal businesses, geography, examples, and exclusions in ordinary language, then review the AI-generated filters and map. Keep the audience broad enough to learn, while removing closed businesses, competitors, category errors, and other obvious mismatches.
For ongoing prospecting, the outreach system matters as much as the list. Use managed sending addresses, short plain-text emails, automated follow-ups, and quick personal follow-up when someone replies. Replies go to your normal inbox.
What to do
- Define the business type, geography, desired outcome, examples, and exclusions before choosing filters.
- Start with AI search, require an email for an email campaign, and inspect the filters it creates.
- Check the map and location filter because an ambiguous place name can resolve to the wrong market.
- Review a sample for closed businesses, category errors, chains, competitors, and poor fits.
- Send a 3-email sequence with each message three days after the previous one, then call qualified respondents the same day when possible.

Can I scrape a maps or review site myself?
Yes, for limited research. For recurring prospecting, you must also handle source terms, duplicates, stale listings, contact enrichment, list cleaning, and sending infrastructure.
Are general business emails useful for prospecting?
Yes. At an independent, owner-run business, a general inbox is often monitored by the owner or another decision-maker. It is less useful for a large chain.
Can I export every business result?
No. Reports export contacted businesses to CSV, and exporting is unavailable on the Starter plan.
