Every digital footprint of every brick-and-mortar business, resolved into one record and checked source by source.
See how it worksDescribe your goal, target business type, geography, useful examples, exclusions, and contact requirements in ordinary language. If you need email outreach, include "has email" in the request.
For geography, you can use a location and radius or target specific ZIP codes, cities, or states without a radius. You can include up to 10 locations in one search. Always inspect the map because an ambiguous place name can resolve incorrectly.
Other useful filters include category, business size, hours, recent reviews, email or phone availability, non-chain status, and number of locations. Reviews can help indicate recent activity, but no single field should decide whether a business is a fit.
Keep the first search broad enough to find plausible prospects. Do not automatically remove every chain or require every size field. If you use estimated square footage, treat it as an estimate and review the results rather than making it an automatic cutoff.
What to do
- Describe the desired business, campaign goal, geography, examples, and exclusions in AI Search.
- Review the categories and remove obvious mismatches or competitors.
- Inspect the map and adjust the radius or selected locations to fit the practical market.
- Add only the contact, size, activity, or operator filters that matter to your goal.
- Review a sample of results before saving the list or starting a campaign.
Related questions
Can I search for businesses by keyword?
Yes. Describe the business type in ordinary language, and AI Search will select relevant categories. Review those categories because discovery searches may broaden them.
Should I exclude all chains?
No. Use chain status and location count according to your goal. Independent businesses may put you closer to the decision-maker, while a regional multi-location operator may be a better expansion prospect.
How narrow should my search area be?
Choose a radius or set of locations based on where the business could realistically move, travel, or serve customers. Inspect the map and adjust it instead of relying on one mileage rule.
