We’re thrilled to announce that we've closed a $5 million seed round

This funding round was led by SNR (Kevin Patrick Mahaffey), 1984 Ventures, Merus Capital, Oleg Rogynskyy (People.ai), Don Tepman (“StripMallGuy”) and Twenty Two Ventures. 

This capital injection will accelerate our mission to carve out a new segment of B2B sales tailored for the unique challenges and opportunities of reaching small business owners.

Resquared is a Y Combinator-backed startup and the first sales platform designed specifically for companies selling to local businesses.

Over 400,000 U.S. sales reps target small and local businesses, often relying only on methods like door-to-door sales or telemarketing for lead generation. While some adopt B2B platforms like ZoomInfo or enterprise CRMs, these tools fail to provide sufficient local business data and suitable playbooks. 

These tools are often built on data from LinkedIn, but under 10% of local business owners use LinkedIn. This leads to local businesses receiving plenty of spam and little vendor choice.

We already support thousands of these sales reps, with toos like email outreach with 2X higher open rate and 10X higher response rate. 

Our team focuses on providing return on investment through both higher revenue, including case studies with clients reporting 30% increases in monthly sales, and time saved (turned 8 hour prospecting processes into less than 8 minute workflows).

Resquared’s Founding Story

Tyler Carlson and I founded Resquared because of our shared experiences navigating the challenges faced by local businesses in adopting new technology. 

I started my career selling door-to-door to these businesses before moving into product management. Tyler worked closely with major brick and mortar brands like Subway and Burger King, helping them leverage technology.

Building on this foundation, Resquared was born out of a desire to not just improve sales processes, but to create a new category of B2B sales specifically for local businesses

We started by understanding their needs and what resonates with them. This led to the development of data-driven sales strategies, which then evolved into a comprehensive platform continuously improving through data insights and best practices.
